Installing Shockwave

To view the courses properly, you must have the Macomedia Shockwave Player plugin installed. Normally, the plugin will automatically begin to install itself. Simply go through the entire installation process (mostly clicking the OK button) and you will have installed the Shockwave plugin.

If, however, the plugin does not automatically begin to install, follow these steps:

Step 1: Download the Plugin
If you are reading this help file, you have already launched your browser. Click on this link to the Macromedia Downloads Page, www.macromedia.com/downloads/

Click on the link that says Macromedia Shockwave Player. This will download a program to your desktop called ShockwaveInstaller.

Step 2: Run the Install Program
Close all your browser windows and double-click the ShockwaveInstaller program on your desktop. Follow the on-screen instructions.

Step 3: Check the Installation
You can check to see if the installation was successful by logging into the Professional Development Management System. If shockwave is installed correctly, you will see this screen:

Above is a picture of the screen you will see. It is not the installation checker.
